On The Boombox: Marc Almond - Open All Night
This is gonna be my second time writing this entry so it better work...
Anywho, my cycadian rytmn's gone ack to my normal standrad I reckon, woke up at the wee hours of 11 a.m. (shudder!!) and even before the alarm clock went (shocker!!) .. in deed, am almost human... (one corny paragraph ... ;p)
It's a Thurdays night, bored tired 'coos the damn flu is upon thee. Which does give the alternative reason that I'm actually in, the other being that I'm somewhat chargrilled from this tribal tradition that is the Singapore Nightlife, or there lack of.
Well, this somehwat burning a hole in my pocket excercise has occupied most of my weejends and Wednesday nights for close to half a decade now.
Thhink I'm getting ol' as I would quote a good friend of mine. For the majority of adoescence turning 18 was the passport to fully experience everything and anyting. To me it was to experience a new angle in socialising (was somewhat naive at the bbeginning) the thumping vibes of club music, blending every element that goes into this intoxificating concoction. Oh, and to a vertain degree, to be seen and name drop?
Now I guess it's more of a social gathering; to catech up with friends to see what's up. After awhile it just seems kinda passe and it concludes to meeting up elsewhere.
And well, when a good deejay comes in, it's usually filled up by idiots who just waste space so as to say that they were there, and not knowing what the hell the set was about. Sad thing is that this isle only has like 3 or 4 clubs that can be even be called a club, rest of the shitho;les are just a joke. The bar's are good but unfortunately it does suffer the same sympthons in my view.
Ah well, would be nice to do something else which isnothing at this point,. this whole entry would probably be a contradiction in a week or so ... heheh
