Nuth'n

Now Playing: Maroon 5 – Sunday Morning

Hello my beautiful audience! Yesh, it’s been awhile since I wrote my 2 cents worth, with the simple reason being that I’ve been absolutely noting worth writing, also that I’m too bloody lazy to write and even if I do have something to write, procrastination has over the driver’s seat. And if I’m rambling is I’m on somewhat on a caffeine buzz and the reason for having this caffeine high is I somehow konked out at 11 last night. I’ll leave it like this. So yea, I’m writing for the sake of writing.

Anyways, did quite alright for my exams, only bummer was for one of my units which I thought I’’d do fine. Ya know, when you think you’d be doing well and it ends up you get some fucked up mark, and when you think you are so gonna fuck it up you do pretty okay, so I guess it’s best to think that you’re going to fuck up on your marks, that is if you actually stydied for it lah, duh….

Yes, and as for that unit I was getting so low about? The ones where my groupmates had zero people skills and my tutor was backing me up all the way? A FUCKING 74 YOU YOBS!!! LOOK WHO WHO’S LAUGHING NOW YOU MO’FOS?? See, nice guys do don’t finish last .. me of course (cheh bah! .. haha)

So I can sleep now at night, no stress at all. Still, I’m contemplating doing an internship for a period of time over the remainder of this break, but then again I’m sorta skinned at the moment, which would be the usual trendlie for my financial cycle. Ah well.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year. As some people would know, I tend to act like some kid come this feative period of the year. No, it’s not for whining over for pressies (hello, that’s so 13 year old), I just get into the yuletide cheer and the spirit of things.

So here’s wishing everyone a very merry and happy christmas and new year!! Take care and God Bless!!

Cheers!

Better Days

and i saw it coming
i saw emptiness and tragedy
and i felt like running
so far away
but knew i had to stay
and i know when i'm older
i look back and i still feel the pain
i know i'll be stronger and i know i'll be fine
for the rest of my daysi've seen better days
put my face in my hands
get down on my knees and i pray to god
hope he sees me through till the endi noticed the smallest things
but i didn't notice the change
it was hot in the morning
then it turned so cold, twas the end of the day
there was no condensation i just felt like i was in space
i needed my friends there i just turned around
they were gone without a trace
i've seen better days
put my face in my hands
get down on my knees and i pray to god
hope he sees me through till the end now i have just started
and i won't be done till the end
there's nothing i have lost
that was once placed upon the palm of my hands
and all of these hard times
have faded round the bend
now that i'm wiser i cannot wait
till i can help my friends
i've seen better days
put my face in my hands
get down on my knees and i pray to god
hope he sees me through till the endseen better days
put my face in my hands
get down on my knees and i pray to god
hope he sees me through till the end
seen better days

Weekend

Now Playing: Nicola Conte – Other Directions

Saturday Night/ Sunday Morning: Zoukout

Hell yea, my first serious night out clubbing since got back and I guess there’s no better place to kick it off than Zoukout, right plac at the right time as well.

Hmm, I guess it’s the whole idea of going into, which is getting kinda passé: the queuing and all that other nonsense, no difference here as well there was a queue to get into the qeue to get into the main arena at Siloso beach, Sentosa, well I guess it be well worth it when your there, but in hindsight it’s too much of a hassle to get into this damn island.

It wasn’t really what I’d expected the layout of this gig would be, I thought it be mashed together but it was a relief to have ample walking space and fresh air for ventilation, sometging which Zouk til now does not seem to have figured out, for their main club that is. Drinks were rather inexpensive as well, which made it even better as I did get tanked before the events that’s proceeding’s.

Well, highlight of my night?? Well, one of the main reasons for being there was for one deejay alone:

Armin van Buurum.

Eversince I’ve been to Perth I have grown to appreciate the pleasures and natural ecstasy of high energy trance, courtesy of Mr Hau of corse.

Well, did arrive on time, pity that I did only catch the last 2- minutes of nick Warren’s set. Still It was still an exceelent buildup to what I came to see. As soon as his name appeared flashing on the huge screen, it was like bees to honey as everyone who had any inkling of good taste in music soon drew towards the main stage. The shouts of “”Armin! Armin!” paying homage to trance’s very own demigod.

Delivere he did, it was what you’d expect to hear from a high energy, trance set, uplifting, taking you on a journey to another world. You son’t really need to be on anytging to get this way, he’ll take you there.

As he build up the set, the wind started picking up, letting thewhole crowd wait, having had ransom to the wheels of steel. But as soon as he dropped it, it started to pour cats and dogs, that made the crowd even more pumped, who gives a fuck about the a little bit of water? It was a moment.

I swear he should just get a tent on his own cos the rest of the deejay’s somewhat paled in comparison to what my sense had witnessed, no disrespect to any of the others but I don’t see the sense of spinning hard techno towards the end of the gig. Should’ve stuck AVB til the end.

Erm, as for the rest of the tents? Well, the Phuture tent was dropping the same old R&B and the velvet tent was dropping some damn goold jumgle and Funk and Soul, the usual a la carte.

Nonetheless, the experience of me having a an aching body right now is tesiment to me having a good night out.

K.L.

Now Playing: Pulp – Common People

Back, for the long haul this time. I was in K.L. from Wednesday til Monday. Erm, I think that would be a rather long stay even though my intentions was to slack and take tings as it comes. Nonetheless, it was a good change of scenery, escaping to yet another comfort zone.

But these days, every time I return from trips from up north, my mind starts to wander and ponder away, which I guess wouldn’t be that in conceivable given the circumstances, ah well…

Wednesday:
Arrived in K.L., had my customary first meal in that seafood noodle store, as of up to now I have no idea where is the location or what the name of the store is called. Standard is dropping as well…. Think next time will try taking the train….

Slacked in the afternoon.

Dinner: was off to Fatty crab with Nydia, Judith, Dad, and 2 of Angus’s partners, Craig and Alan. Crab was good, shirt became a copy of what resembled to be one of some abstract artist’s masterpiece.. compliments to the chef ….

Thursday:
Met the Perth gang for lunch at Mid valley mall (or as one of my dad’s biz associates put it Mad Valley).

Dinner; Met up with Vincent and CS for good ol’’ K.L. hawker food, thanks for the meal guys.. owe ya one….

Friday:
Went down to KLCC for the computer fair, was tempted to but a pair of speakers but passed on the offer. Went to Sungai Wang afterthat, nothing really, wasn’t really in the mood.

Had dinner at home, had to cdetox my stomach…

And yea, my only night out, headed down to Kalan Sultan ismail. Well, was merely tagging along cos Angus was entertaining. Furst we were outside hard rock ‘cos Alan spotted some harleys (some of which had serious bling to blind ya), then it was off to Poppy Passion for a quick drink and the it was to bbeach club (imagine Orchard Towers, and all the other hotel bars put together.) Had the drinks and just watched as the angmoh pursued their wildlife.. amusing as usual.

Then, I think Angus was getting abit bored as well, so we headed to Heritage Row. Right at the end of which is this new club called China. Don’t judgea book by it’s cover or name. Club was crowded, just lie what any other new one would be. The music, excellent range of house genres. The crowd: The neuva Riche and the beautiful people.. noting new there…

Saturday:
Hung out with Judith the entire afternoon, was cool.. manage to finally see their new pad and some other suburbs of k.L. … and she had great news as well.. congrats… :)

Dinner: was at Linda and dick’s places, Angus and Judith’s old neighbours from the Abode Apartments. Good meal and great company…..

Sunday:
I think this is what all people who have vintage cars do in K.l., take their car out for a spin. Went along with Angus and few of his ol’ uni buddies for a ride down to Putra Jaya, organised by the Vintage car Association of Malaysia (M’sia’s new hub of governance, it was so surreal, felt as though we were in a real life sim city). Some of the cars were sweet, but to be honest, I think most of ‘em pald in comparison to what he had brought along …

Dinner: Ate with Judith and Nydia at the apartment, any good break for the stomach again… chilled

Monday:
Back to Singapore, we were quite close eo missing the bus back, reasons why I should tke the train the next time round….

Yea, so that was my trip up, not my usual but had a good time nonetheless… til the next time…..

Farewell my redhead, it was nice while it lasted….
